2010 World Leisure Games: DanceSport
The Games were held at the Songram Sports Town, located at the heart of the Korean peninsula. Surrounded by clean lakes, greenery and serene settings, the athletes were housed at ski resort condominiums about an hour’s drive from the town. The sports featured through top-level contests at the formidable Songram venues were action sports (radical BMX and skateboarding) billiards, air sports (aeromodelling and paragliding), climbing, inline skating, Korean kickball, paragliding, water skiing, wakeboarding and DanceSport, the latter including breakdancing.
Organised by the Korean DanceSport Federation, the five events attracted an impressive number of entries from all over the world. 29 countries participated in the IDSF World Cup Ten Dance. Winning first place were Anton Skuratov and Alena Uehlin from Germany, followed by Filippov Andrey and Tarlykova Anastasia from Russia, and Anton Belyayev and Antoaneta Popova from Canada as second runners-up.
The IDSF International Open DanceSport Championships registered an outstanding global participation too, with 47 entries from 29 countries in the Standard event and 91 entries from 31 countries in the Latin event.
