Donatas Vezelis - Lina Chatkeviciute, LTU, won their first ever World Champion title in the Professional Division by claiming first in the 2016 WDSF PD World Showdance Standard in Kaunas, LTU. "Rebirth of the Swan" was the title to their routine that was marked by a high level of dificulty and emotionality.
Just as in 2015, the second place went to Italians Marco Spadafora and Edvige Maria Bilotti with their “Addams Family” routine. Third place went to Igor Potovin and Daria Shevelilova from Russia - with their "The Gatsbies" routine.
Ten couples from seven countries entered the 2016 PD World Showdance Standard.
