Germany Wins
Ten European countries fielded a team consisting of three Standard and three Latin couples each, one per style in the age groups U-21, Adult and Senior I. The Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Rumania, Slovakia and Spain participated. A unique atmosphere of mutual support and friendship surrounded the performances of all couples. The title of the European National Team Champion went to Germany, second place to Romania and third to Spain.
After the successful première, WDSF President Lukas Hinder wrote to Luís Vaño, his counterpart at DSE: "I would like to congratulate you on the success of the European National Team Championship on 27 March in Cambrils, ESP. I think it is highly positive that DanceSport Europe looks for innovative ways to add depth to a consolidated competition calendar."
